| INOCULAN UPDATE V1.X
(NO LONGER AVAILABLE ... PLEASE USE
IUV3) CAI created a nice way of downloading the updates and distributing the client updates for NT but they forgot to do so for the Netware environment. They gave us GETBBS.NLM that does a modem dialup to their FTP site. So you must be familiar with NIAS and dialup scripting. Also this becomes a long distance (a little expensive!). This program will run on a Win9X/NT/2K computer with a connection to the internet and get those 2 or more files for you, unzip them into the server's, restart them (Inoculan that is) and update the clients automatically next time they login.
All you have to do is setup the AVUPDATE.EXE/AVUPDATE.INI so next time your users login they will get the latest updates. Minimum configuration for the AVUPDATE.INI [CA InoculateIT 95] Basically create a DIR in SYS:\INOCULAN\DOWNLOAD SYS:\INOCULAN\DOWNLOAD\95 SYS:\INOCULAN\DOWNLOAD\95\DISK1 In the SYS:\INOCULAN\DOWNLOAD\95\DISK1 directory place the InoculateIT client for Win9X in there. The AVUPDATE.EXE will automatically install it if it is not found on the users station. REMINDER: If you are running any other anti-virus software including the older version of "CHEYENNE WIN 95" you must uninstall it. If your login script add the following lines. MAP F:=SYS:\INOCULAN (if not already mapped) #F:\INOCULAN\AVUPDATE.EXE
