INOCULAN UPDATE FOR NON NETWARE This is the initial release or as some say a Beta version. You should have Client 32 installed. This was designed to run on NT/2K/XP platforms with Apache running on a Netware server.
This is the Administrators setup it is used to download the Updates virus signature files for Win 9x. You still need to download the AVCLIENT part for your users.
I have received a few MSG’s asking me if there is a way to make Inoculan Update v2x work without having a Netware server the answer is NO. So we wrote this 2-part program. The first part AVCLIENT.EXE will read the following files from a central location and create a directory and place a log file of what was done per user. P.S. Please remember the users must have full READ/WRITE permissions to create/update the log file. The program will locate (please see the Avclient.ini) the Network path of where the updates are located and do a CRC32 comparison to the version they have locally. If they are different they will be placed in the INOCULATEIT PATH\NEWFILES and the AUTOEXEC.BAT will be changed to allow the updates to be performed the next time they boot For more information please see the PURPOSE.DOC.
